An Important message from the Aerie Secretary

Dear Alexandria Eagle Brothers and Sisters,

The new "Indiana Smoking Ban" will take effect July1, 2012.  Under this law all Charity Gaming functions (Bingo) must be smoke free.  This aplies to all Bingo Halls.  We, as a Not-for Profit Organization, must take certain actions to comply with the new law.  Those being:

1. On of before June 30, 2012, we must vote whether our building will be smoke free of if smoking will be allowed in the building.  If we vote to have a building "Smoke Free", no smoking will be allowed in the building or within 8 feet of any entrance.
2. If we vote to "Allow Smoking" in the building, we must provide a separate, enclosed, designated smoking room that is ventilated to prevent migration of smoke into the non-smoking areas of the building.  Smoking will only be allowed in this "Designated Room".  No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in this room and no smoking will be allowed within 8 feet of any entrance.

There will be a  meeting at the Aerie on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM to duscuss the pros and cons of this issue, after which voting will take place from 2:00PM to 8:00PM.  ONce your voice is heard via your vote, appropriate action will be taken by the committee to meet the condtions of the new state wide "Smoking Ban Law".
